only 5 days

So, our scheduled c-section arrival of our little baby girl is really sneaking up on me. I think this Friday will definitely come too fast. I'm wondering if since I'm scheduled before my due date that my "nesting instinct" isn't quite kicking in soon enough....I have so much to do and so little time. I did finally got the baby clothes out and washed. A few of them are folded, but none are put away. Thankfully we have plenty of everything and the ladies at church did a baby shower for me last week. We got a lot of diapers and some cute outfits and a few other things. Very nice! Elsa came and was the official gift opener. she really had fun at the baby's party. She wants to the baby to be born so that the baby can see all of her presents. The house seems to be a disaster, but why clean it if it's just going to be a disaster at the end of the next day, right? I'm really starting to think that being pregnant isn't half so bad as having three children. EVERYONE says that three is the hardest, so....maybe pregnant isn't bad at all. Elsa is excited to be a big sister and has moments of great helpfulness. Gibson is just counting down the days until the baby is born because he knows that when he gets to go visit his Grandmas and Grandpas. It's not really about the baby for him, more about the grandparents, but that's great for me too!! Chris and I are looking forward to our time with just the baby, and it seems that the Grandmas and grandpas are looking forward to their time with our kids. I'm trying not to worry....you're kids are always better for other people, right?! Maybe they won't fight constantly, and Gibson won't scream at the top of his lungs, and Elsa won't cry to get what she wants, and they will share always and be super-nice to their cousins, and most of all, they will got to bed quickly and not get up in the night ever. Well, it may be too much to hope for all of that, but I am pretty sure they will be better for them than they have been for me lately....It's good that Grandparents have such a love for their grandchildren no matter what---and I know they prefer to have their grandchildren visit without their parents! So, I'm grateful to my parents and chris' parents for being willing to take them for a little while to give me time to recover. Chris will have the sole job of nurse after we get home from the hospital, and I know he'll be awesome!! We're hoping to sleep when the baby sleeps, watch a lot of movies, and maybe read a book. I don't think we'll quite know what to do with just one little one, but I'm sure we'll be busy enough.

Well, I'm going to stop typing. I realized we don't have any recent pictures on this computer. Oh well, a post without a picture. Worse things have definitely happened. I'm pretty sure Chris will be posting about the baby sometime on Friday or Saturday, we really are excited to see her! (and I really do love my children. I think I'm really going to miss them while they are gone).

I always say that 3 was easier than 2 for me, and people think I am weird, but it is true. Maybe you will have that luck too. We will take good care of your kids, and I am sure that everything will be fine. We are excited to see the baby, too!

Tony and I perpetually debate whether the transition from one kid to two, or from two kids to one, will be more difficult.... Keep us posted :). But, in the meantime, congratulations! We hope all goes well on Friday.

My third was the angel baby, so you never know. I think things got crazy later, like yesterday we had to take angel baby (18 months now) out of sacrament meeting 4 times! But it sounds like you guys have a good set up, don't you love grandparent babysitters?

I think it dependS on the person. I had a lot harder time adjusting to four kids than I did with three (at least from what I can remember). I hope everything goes smoothly with your c-section. Be sure to post pictures (or have Chris post) of the new little baby.

We too are counting the days. We will have a blast with the kids. It will be a nice break for both of you. Yes, you will miss them, but enjoy the time alone with your new little girl. See you real soon!!

Good luck with everything! I can't believe it's time already (I'm sure that's not what you're thinking), but I feel like I just read about you expecting #3...I guess we're just too far away. Sure love you! I'll be thinking of yo!
