On Tuesday we had our inspection from the bank to make sure we didn't spend our loan money on a trip to Tahiti. We passed!! What that means is, we are pretty much done with all of the things we said we would do. We told ourselves that the inspection was the most important day in our married life, and that if we didn't pass they would evict us (0r something like that). We spent a full week staying up until 2a.m. REALLY. THAT IS NOT AN EXAGGERATION. We tried to get every last detail done and have the house spotless for the inspection. Well, we didn't quiet succeed on the every last detail (we still have a few doorknobs to replace, doors to paint, caulking, and a few small leaks), but the house WAS the cleanest it's been since we moved in....and by the look of the house when we bought it, probably the cleanest it's been in a long time. At the time of the inspection, Elsa was due at preschool, so Chris took her and Gibson and I stayed. Chris didn't want to stay-too much pressure. The inspector was actually the appraiser who appraised the house for our loan. he was really mellow and just checked off the things that we said we would do. Nice man. It was a relief to have that part over. We have done NOTHING on the house since. I have managed to keep it fairly clean, though. we may never change those door knobs....Maybe all we need are some VISITORS to give us the motivation to get it done!! (Elsa DID pray last night for her Grandma and Grandpa to come visit, and that they would drive safely when they come).
Okay, so while the house was clean and free of people, I went around and took a few pictures. Remember, this is Audra, therefore the pictures are not great, but you get the idea.

YAY!!! Thanks for the pics, everything looks gorgeous! Definitely fun to compare the new pics to the old pics, it's like a totally different house. Nice job guys!!!
You guys did a great job! I especially love the kitchen! Amazing!
Wow, that looks way different from when I came and visited a few months ago.
What a great job you have done, and I can only imagine how proud you feel! Your kitchen is my favorite! Enjoy yourselves, you have earned it!
Congratulations!! What an undertaking. Your basement is beautiful compared to what it looked like before. I love the kitchen and WOW the floors really shine in the living room. The kitchen is my favorite as well. The backsplash is lovely. Be proud!! You have done an excellent job and lived to tell about it : )
What a relief, it feels so nice to accomplish such a huge task. It looks awesome, I like your window treatments, and am very jealous of the living room hardwood floors. They are so pretty. I am just wondering what the baby bouncer is doing in the toy room, are you holding out news on me again? You are in deep trouble if you are.
I love LOVE the kitchen, and the wood floors. What a relief to be done!
No, I am not holding out on anyone. The "bouncer" in the toy room is a rocking chair that can function as a baby chair or toddler rocker--up to 40 lbs, so our kids still fight over it.
The house looks great! The bathroom is my favorite.:) You deserve a break from all your work. I hope your holiday season slows down and you can enjoy your hard work.
Love it! congrats on passing!
Wow! Great job, it looks fabulous!
Wow, it looks amazing. You should be proud of all your hard work!!
wow the place looks great!!
It looks great and I can't imagine how fabulous it feels to have it done. Although I can't understand why you wouldn't want carpet on your stairwell walls. It's great padding when you fall.
I love your house too! You guys really have done a lot of work and it looks great! Now you do need some Audra time, so enjoy it!
It is beautiful! I love the storage shelving, the flooring and the kitchen island.
