"stop doing that!" "doing what?" "Freaking me out, whatever you are doing!!!" That is one of my favorite quotes. It is from a movie Elsa watched over and over again (OK, we don't let her watch movies over and over again in the same day) for a month or so.
So what's really freaking me out is that a lot of people are reading our blog from all over the place. I know I have a large extended family and I am not the best at keeping track of all of you, but I am pretty sure there are a few lurkers that we do not know reading our blog. Audra and I have an ongoing debate about "going private" We don't use our last name, and we do not post information about where we live on our blog. I recently started tracking our visitors and it was... well... disturbing (OK, I am sort of paranoid when it comes to online security... I never really got into myspace, or facebook or the whole "share my life with a whole bunch of strangers that may want to hurt me") I am very leery of identity theft.
Anyway, long story short, for those of you who read our blog, please remove our last name from any links you may have of us on your blog. We prefer to by linked by the title of our blog (tales with seaweed). Also, please don't post any "happy birthdays" or "it was great seeing you in ____(our home town name), or any other identifiable stuff like that as a comment on our blog. We assume that most of you know where we live and all of that. We really don't want to go private and force some of our not-so-tech-savvy family members to go through extra measures to read our blog.
On a lighter note, Audra took a few pictures I will share. I hope you are all well. We are looking forward to time at home together again.
Welcome to our blog. We hope you enjoy it. We blog mainly as a way to keep in touch with our far away family members, but have enjoyed keeping up with friends as well. We'd love to hear from you, so please comment. If you would like to link us on your blog, please don't use our last name or location. Thanks.

I could be one of your unknown random persons when you are tracking... (maybe not all of them... but some! :) I use our cell phone as our modem and it varies by each connection as to where I am from... sometimes its NE, IL, SD, TN, CA, UT... etc.(these are the ones I've noticed recently!) But I totally understand your concern with people you don't know "looking in on you!"
Afton apologizes for calling you Chris & Audra on the blog. :). You are officially Tales with Seaweed. By the way, how much does the Gib-man weigh?
I have been debating the same thing. I am getting close to going private.
It was great seeing you guys at home in Bermuda last weekend!!!! :)
OK. yeah-- it had a bad typo. So here I go again.... As you know, we took the same measures to protect our identity a couple of months ago. Good for you. Just remember to look at your "favorites" once in a while. tee hee
I agree with you completely. We went to the extreme of not listing anyone's names as well as no locations. Tina/Kirk & Hannah/Geoff do the same. One disadvantage of going private is you only get a limited number of access for people to look. Hard to do with so many family and friends. I've noticed your sister doesn't list names either. Best of luck and it's fun keeping up with you.
Cousin Carrie and long ago neighbor ;-)
