Scorpion
Today in church Elsa and I had a little adventure. We were waiting out in the hall for Audra to get done gabbing after Relief Society (she told me to say it that way). All the old ladies shuffled past us and Audra wasn't with them. We decided to go in and look for her. On our way in I noticed something wiggling in the corner of the entrance to the room. Elsa and I walked closer to it. It was about the size and length of a really really large dragonfly (I though someone had ripped off the wings of a dragonfly at first). Upon closer inspection I realized that it was definitely not a dragonfly. I thought it looked kind of like a scorpion, but having never seen one in real life, I was not sure. Just then one of the young men walked in behind us. I grabbed him and asked him if it was a scorpion. He got kind of excited and confirmed my suspicion. I was really glad I didn't have Elsa pick it up or anything (we like to catch grasshoppers and other bugs in our yard sometimes. I don't want her to be one of those girls who screams every time she sees a bug. So far she only screams if the bugs start crawling quickly on her, or in the case of grasshoppers, when they jump on her unexpectedly). I think one of the ladies had stepped on it on their way out, because it wasn't moving very well. Elsa and I cleared out and let the young men take care of it. FYI, the scorpions here are small and are not lethal. If you get stung by one, it is equivalent of a really bad bee or wasp sting.
