Goodilicious

Last Sunday while Chris was napping-a common Sunday afternoon occurrence- Elsa and I decided to make no-bake cookies for him. While Elsa and I were working on it the Stake Young Women president called to talk to me about some final details for Girls Camp. I was talking to her and writing a few things down when I realized that Elsa had decided to make her own little concoction with the cocoa. She sure loves to cook!
Well, after we had it all mixed up and she was licking the spoon she exclaimed, "this is goodilicious!"
Today we made granola, and she tasted the almond extract on the spoon after we dumped it in (we were out of vanilla, so we used almond instead). Needless to say, she said, "that's yucky! I need some milk!" I replied with, "that's why we don't lick the spoon while we cooking." Hopefully the lesson will stick, because she thinks she has to try every ingredient before AND after we put it in!

I love it! A girl after mine own heart -- I taste everything when I cook :) (bad habits die hard). I'm sure Uncle Aaron would love to have her as a sous chef...
