cabinets and steps

First the cabinets. Here is a picture of the cabinet style and type that we selected for our home. They are solid hickory cabinets in this style. They were the most "bang for our buck" because they were in the lowest price category, but still solid wood throughout. We contemplated getting them stained, but we found the natural color very nice. We are getting a good deal on them.

Here is another view. Some of our close friends have the same cabinets. We promised them we would go with a different counter top even though we really like their colors.

Now for the steps. Gibson has taken his first unsupported steps. It was a big move for the Gibman. He walks between the chair and the couch (two unsupported steps total). He also walks to us from the couch for about two steps. Pretty soon he will be in college and we won't know where the time went (please note the sarcasm). Sorry, I had to include that. People keep telling us that. I know some of those who read our blog who are of the geriatric persuasions may find the above words to be true. I think time will go by more quickly when I start getting more sleep and I don't have to change diapers (I should note that this is Chris blogging).

Here is a photo for Grandma H. I am sorry it is not great. Gibson was not cooperating the day we tried to take this photo. He was really ready for a nap. The sad part is it does not show the hat's best feature which is the funny ears.

This is how we spent some time last Sunday. Elsa thought it was really cool to push Gibson on the car. Gibson though it was really funny to be pushed on the car. It made for quite an entertaining afternoon. We did get a good video that Audra may post later. Sorry this is not a great photo.

We also had a birthday in our house recently. More posts to come on that later.
