So, here we are visiting family and friends. My sister and her husband went on a trip, so my mom came to watch the kids. I decided I would like to come see her, and it would be a great time to see Jordan as well (Gibson hadn't met him yet). So...I loaded up my two kids and we made the 8 hr. drive. The kids were great, and now I know I CAN do a road trip that long by myself with two kids!! It's been great so far here. Elsa has her cousins to play with, and Gibson has more space to explore, cupboards to open, and toys to chew on! I also have my Mom to talk to all day and split the chores with. So far, SO GOOD!!!
Tonight, we had a special treat
because Uncle Jonah came out to visit. He was a hit with all the kids! I think he has adopted some extra
nieces after tonight! -K- and -L- wanted him to read them books before bed. They were very disappointed when he went to the room Elsa is sleeping in to tell her bedtime stories, and they didn't get to come!
Uncle Jonah and Gib. They are buds. They hit it off right away!

Uncle Jonah with the crew!

And don't forget -E-!

What a happy Uncle!

Well, it's definitely been worth the journey. There's been some snow, ice and wind since we arrived so we hope our journey home in a few days is as nice and the journey here was....
I'll post more pictures of our adventures with the cousins and Grandma later!

I am so sad I am missing out on the family fun, I definitely won't show Addy because she would beg to go. Glad you are having fun, Gibson is getting lots of dark hair!
Wow, you are brave. I don't think I would drive eight hours with just me and the kiddies. I think I would go crazy. I am glad it went well. I hope the trip home goes smoothly and safely. Looks like you are having lots of fun!
How fun!!!! We've missed you though! :) I glad the trip is going so well.
Yahoo! You made it 8 hours. It really isn't bad once you've done it once. I use to do it all the time with the girls from Pocatello to home. I even got my system down where I rigged this pully system to get little zip-lock snack bags into the back seat for -B- when she was about Elsa's age, (I don't have the arm span of most people...) Upon seeing my system my dad laughed and said that it was very
"Grandpa Isaacson" of me. I smiled.
So fun to be with your mom and the kids get to be with their cousins! Good luck driving back! Be safe.
