In the "city"

We had a fun day yesterday and today in the "city".  Actually, it is a city, and it was really fun.  We shopped, went to the temple, and stayed in a hotel where we got to swim!  Today we spent a lot of time at the zoo.  We had  a Groupon (we have got some sweet deals from Groupon) for an annual pass so we thought we would use it for the first time. Here are a bunch of pictures from that excursion.  ZooMontana isn't very big, but it is kinda like a nature walk to get to each exhibit.  It was perfect for our kids!
One of the highlights was the peacocks.  There were at least two of them just walking around.  Elsa and Gibson took turns following them trying to touch those beautiful feathers.
We got to feed the goats.  You could buy goat food for a quarter and they would eat out of your hand.  Elsa was a little worried, but Gibson loved it.

They had this HUGE rabbit named Lilly.  We got to go in and pet it.  Elsa had no problem petting the rabbit.

This is supposed to be our "growling bear" faces.
Elsa wanted to pose by the lilac tree.
You probably can't see this very well unless you click on the picture, but to the left of the wagon is a wild rabbit we saw hanging out inside the zoo.
Elsa and Gibson also tried to pet the ducks that were wandering around.
Posing with the monkey statue.  Elsa is doing her best monkey impression.
We got to the bear exhibit as the zoo worker was putting out food for the grizzly, then we got to see him wander around and eat.  The worker had put some food right up by the glass, so that was pretty neat.

We had a lot of fun with this peacock.  Oh, and that is what Lu did pretty much the whole time.  Sat happily in her stroller.  she is such a happy, easy baby.
Gibson finally touched the peacock's feather, and so we got the show!!

The otters swam right up to the glass too so we could get a good look at them.

I'm sure glad we have an annual pass because the kids had a great time and burned off a lot of energy before the drive home.  I'm excited to go again because we didn't get to see the tigers.  Their fence was broken by a tree that fell down in a recent storm, so they weren't there.  We'll get to see them next time!!

What a fun day! The peacock reminded me of the ones Grandpa Waite used to have. All the kids loved them!

You have lots of fun animals in your zoo. Our kids love to watch for the peacocks wondering around the zoo. Unfortunately the bears are absent at our zoo as they are making a new habitat for them. But we do have lots of tigers and monkeys. Sounds like a great trip!
