Black Hills

Over memorial day weekend we loaded up and headed to the Hills-Black Hills, South Dakota- that is.  Heather and Tony had a connection with a vacation home in Deadwood.  Yes, Deadwood.  It is a wonderful historic gambling town.  Although we didn't gamble, we really enjoyed the swimming pool, public library, park, and restaurants there.  It was cold, but we had a great time!  We picked Grandma Debbie and Papa Reed at the airport and met Heather, Tony, Afton and Ainsley there!  We hadn't seen them in almost a year, so it was really fun to have a lot of cousin and family time.
Now, some photos.
We explored the Wonderland Cave.  The kids loved this exploration.

Now, to Reptile Gardens.  We had been here before a few years ago, and the kids still loved it!  We watched the snake show and the alligator show.  So FUN!!

And Mt. Rushmore.  We did the little hike around and saw all the different angles.  The first day we tried to go there it was covered in fog.  We went back the next day.  Very sunny!

And that is where my pictures stopped uploading!!  So, on the way home with Grandma and grandpa we stopped at Devil's Tower and hiked around.  That was really neat and I was glad we took the time to do that also!
We all had a great time, and it was fun to spend time with our family!

It was fun! We'll have to find more excuses to get together. Afton has picked out houses on our street that yr family and her grandparents should live in.
