acting debut

We had our Christmas party at church last night. The theme was "A Night in Bethlehem" and we were all supposed to come in "costume". It was really fun and the kids were really in to it. Here's shepherd Gibson.

Clara Lu had her big debut as baby Jesus. She was perfect. She sat so nicely in mary's arms and on her lap. The pictures aren't great, but at least we got one. Elsa was so excited that Lu was going to be Jesus. She kept playing with her throughout the week and saying things like "come here Lord and Saviour" to her.

Here's our angel Elsa. She thought of the costume herself< even down to the glo-stick halo.

here they are at home before we rushed out the door.
didn"t get any pictures of us with pillowcases on our heads. I sported my blacj college graduation gown and Chris donned his plaid bathrobe. It was a fun night!

I absolutely loved these pictures! The kids look great. Not everybody gets to be Jesus :) (As a side note, last summer when Tony and I discussed the kids in our ward potentially doing the nativity thing, the only role he could think of as fitting for Afton was King Herod -- you know, the one who killed all the babies... It was during her "adjustment" period.)

That is a darn good angel costume. The others look more like fairies that are standing next to her. Gibson looks good as a shepherd. And the "Lord and Savior" looks perfect as Jesus. It might be the only time that she gets to play a boy part. Tell Gibson to get feeling better. Merry Christmas everyone!!

EVeryone looks so cute. I love how Elsa says, come here lord and savior, that is hilarious. Looks like they are just like momma, with loving the acting. Don't count on me and Addy ever doing that!
